Date for your Diary 21st – 23rd October

We are very much hoping that our Quilt Show will be able to go ahead within any COVID 19 guidelines that may apply at the time. The dates for your diary are 21st – 23rd October at the Assembly Rooms, North Street, Chichester. More information will be available here or for members in the newsletter as we get nearer to the date.

Our normal programme of events, talks, workshops are on hold because of COVID 19, but watch this space and look out for information in our members monthly newsletter. In the meantime, we have been holding our monthly meeting on zoom which gives everyone a chance to catch up and see what everyone has been up to and perhaps join in the monthly challenge. Also now that the weather has started to improve, we are re-starting our monthly meet-ups in Priory Park, bring along a chair and your picnic lunch and we meet within covid guidelines from 1200 on the first Thursday of each month.

Our aim is to promote an interest in, and to preserve the skills of patchwork and quilting by giving members an opportunity to meet together and be inspired and stimulated by talks, demonstrations and workshops.

We meet once a month at the Lavant Memorial Hall and our members skills vary from absolute beginner to expert.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday in the month except for August.  Some are held in the morning or for the day, and the remainder are held in the evening to give people who work an opportunity to join us.  Some of our speakers give workshops on a Friday.

From time to time we take note of members requests and run extra in house workshops for those who want to learn basic techniques.

We have an extensive library of patchwork and quilting books which is free to all members. We try to update our stock regularly.
